Loki's Christmas Wish
Today we wrapped up the 2010 addition of Loki’s Christmas Wish by delivering all of the donations collected for the Mission Animal Control.
Sherry Taylor and her staff work hard each day and try to ensure that the dogs in their care have everything they need, however sometimes the items that are needed the most to keep the dogs happy, stress free and warm are not items that the small budget can afford.
This is why Loki’s Christmas Wish is so important. We have the ability to supply shelters like Mission with the important extras.
Here are some photos from our drop off today.

My husband Kerry, Loki's sister Koda and myself all packed up!

Loki's Christmas Wish
The big day finally arrived in Penticton! Thank you everyone for the amazing support! Loki’s Christmas Wish Fund brought warmth and joy to the dogs of Penticton Dog Control. Cat donations benefited the Summerland Cat Sanctuary of Critteraid. Thank you poundkeepers Rose and Don for doing everything you do with such a big heart!

Just some of the loot!

A beautifully decorated donation box (thanks Tamara!).

Rose and Don's Critteraid foster (adopted!) and their dog, former pound puppy Goliath.

(L to R) Dog Control Officers Rose and Don Gingras, with HugABull volunteers Nicole & Greg McTague, and Patrick Gilmour.

(L to R) HugABull representative Leah Gilmour, with Rose and Don, Nicole and Greg.

The first beneficiary of Loki's in Penticton... Rose wrapped this skinny senior right away in one of the new warm coats.

Adoptable Chow mix, Boomer.

Another adoptable, Charlie!

Merry Christmas!

Loki's Christmas Wish
Over the last week, we asked our facebook followers to nominate various rescue organizations in order to help us spread the love from the donations provided by Aerocar Services and other local community members.
Over the last week we have been able to support the following rescues,
Bully Buddies, FurEver After Small Dog Rescue, Katie’s Place, VOKRA, HomeFinders and Chilliwack Animal Control.
Volunteers have worked hard across the province to help spread the work of Loki’s Christmas Wish and without them, pulling this all together would not be possible.
One volunteer in particular is Christie Slawson, an employee with Helijet. Christie, helped to arranged for LCW to fly over donations to FurEver After Small Dog Rescue. Without people like Christie, getting donations to this deserving rescue would have been a struggle.

As a thank you to Aerocar Services, we at Loki’s Christmas Wish have put a little something special in the mail.

Currently the list of orgaizations benefiting from Loki’s Christmas Wish are as follows
* Bully Buddies
* VOKRA
* Katie’s Place
* Homefinders
* 100 Mile House Animal Shelter
* Chilliwack Animal Control
* HugABull Advocacy & Rescue Society
* Mission Animal Control
* Penticton/Summerland Animal Control
* Duncan SPCA
If you are looking to add some joy to your life please consider visiting any one of the local groups websites or shelters.
